STUBE Hessen Academy from February 19 to February 23, 2025, in Wiesbaden:

Energy, Technology, Progress – at any cost?

The seminar addresses resource scarcity as one of the greatest causes of conflict in the 21st century. Despite global economic growth and decreasing energy intensity, energy consumption continues to rise steadily. Conflicts over natural resources such as metals, fossil fuels, and water are increasing, often exacerbated by political issues. The United Nations Environment Programme had already warned in 2009 about an increase in such conflicts. The focus of the seminar is on the role of energy production and e-mobility, particularly in countries of the Global South. This includes analyzing conflicts over raw material extraction, the interconnection between raw material extraction in the Global South and production in the Global North, and the challenges of a sustainable transportation transition. The participants discuss how technological progress and sustainability can be linked to reduce global inequalities.

STUBE Hessen weekend seminar from March 7 to March 9, 2025, in Bad Homburg:

A bridge to your future! Planning vocational preparatory internships and study stays (BPSA) in the country of origin

This seminar offers application training and information about the BPSA program. Are you from Africa, Asia, or Latin America and studying in Germany? If you cannot travel to your home country for several years, this can lead to alienation from culture and society, as well as a lack of contacts and information about the job market, making professional reintegration more difficult.

BPSA supports you through:

  • Promotion of internships, research, and career information stays in your home country,
  • Opportunities to network on-site and gain professional experience,
  • Reimbursement of travel expenses and international health insurance.

Here you can sign up for it!
