STUBE Hessen weekend seminar from 19.04.2024 to 21.04.2024, in Fulda:

“Fast consumption and ecological footprint: a two-sided responsibility ”**

  • with childcare

Disposable clothing every hour, fast fashion, ultra-fast fashion, greenwashing etc. – The headlines about consumption are omnipresent. Today, many city centers are dominated by fast fashion brands and online trade in cheap fashion is booming. In addition to the textile industry, fast consumption is also evident in other consumer sectors. The technology sector is constantly focusing on new models. Events such as Black Friday tempt people into a spending spree, new things are bought and old things end up in the bin. Consumers need to change their behavior, then the problem would be almost solved, they say again and again. But how much influence does their behavior really have on the industry and how much responsibility do companies and politicians bear? To what extent do obligations such as the Supply Chain Act to protect human rights and the environment help to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns?
