STUBE Hessen is a study support program for DSH students from Asia, Africa, Latin America, MENA and Eastern Europe who are studying at universities in Hessen. The costs for accommodation and meals are covered if you attend the weekend seminars and academies.

Weekend seminar “Strengthening leadership skills and presentation techniques! Entry into the management of intercultural events”

Whether at STUBE or in everyday university life – speaking in front of people and moderating events needs to be learned! The seminar is an opportunity for anyone who wants to plan, lead and accompany intercultural and development policy events or strengthen their leadership skills and presentation techniques. The weekend is also intended as preparation for students who would like to co-lead or speak at a STUBE event.

Weekend seminar “All beginnings are difficult? From preparatory college to everyday university life”

Many questions arise before starting university: What can I expect in everyday university life? How can I finance my studies? How do I deal with cultural differences? In this seminar, Studienkollegiatinnen and -kollegiaten from Hessen will exchange ideas with each other and learn how to study at a Hessian university, how to successfully apply for a scholarship and how they can get involved.

The BPSA support provided by STUBE Hessen helps students to build a bridge to their countries of origin at an early stage and to prepare specifically for a later return and career.

BPSA are promoted…

• for a research stay for the preparation of a thesis related to a developing country
  (Duration: minimum 1 month to maximum 3 months)

• to complete an internship
  (Duration: minimum 6 weeks to maximum 6 months)

• to obtain career information during the final phase of your studies
  (Duration: minimum 1 month to maximum 2 months)

What is the funding for?

STUBE supports study visits, internships and career information stays by covering travel costs and foreign travel health insurance up to a maximum of 1,000 euros.
